Following his successful Dragons’ Den pitch, Swing Patrol Director, Scott Cupit, was approached to produce a book on all things swing, and where better for the launch than the beautiful auditorium that has been the scene of so many of his glorious swing nights? Swing Dance is a stunning bible of the genre in which you can learn about the key dances which fall under the swing umbrella, such as Lindy Hop, Charleston, Balboa and Collegiate Shag, as well as legendary figures and founders including Frankie Manning and Norma Miller - all wrapped up with information and tips on fashion, music and the global swing dance renaissance in general.
This afternoon-into-evening event will feature all Swing Patrol’s usual fun, friendly and welcoming revelry, including a starter class to get everyone moving and in the mood. Some great performances will also be on offer. Dance your way out of the weekend and be one of the first to grab a signed copy of Swing Dance into the bargain!
