Please join us this December for a special festive event to hear The Box of Delights scriptwriter Piers Torday, the production's director Justin Audibert (Artistic Director, Unicorn Theatre) and award-winning playwright, producer and director Patricia Cumper, discussing the challenges and rewards of adapting an original work for stage.

Hosted by the Society of Authors' Theo Jones, you'll get a fascinating insight into the book to stage process, and a chance to pose your own questions at the end.

An action-packed festive tale, The Box of Delights is based on the 1935 children's fantasy novel of the same name by Poet Laureate John Masefield – whose literary estate is represented by the Society of Authors – and returns to the east London music hall after its critically-acclaimed and sold out world premiere last year. This year's production welcomes back some old faces alongside brand-new cast members.

Celebrating the show's return Piers Torday writes: "I am as proud as punch that The Box of Delights is returning to Wilton's this Christmas. It is such a thrill to introduce today's children to one of the great original classics of magical adventure fantasy."

SoA members can book discounted £5 tickets - you will have been sent a discount code.

Discounted tickets are also on offer to SoA members for the evening performance of The Box of Delights, which follows the event at 7.30pm - Stalls £20; Balcony £15, subject to availability. You can book your tickets here.
