An intimate evening of parlour songs and classics with Kate Garner on piano

Kate Garner will be treating us to affectionate renditions of Coward, Berlin, Weill and Porter, along with the original songs they inspired her to write. Her own compositions, which she often describes as 'parlour songs' are heartfelt, honest, uplifting and gently evocative of times gone by. Her previous live performances include The Royal Albert Hall, The London Palladium and Wayne Hemingway's Vintage Festival at The Royal Festival Hall. We are delighted to be welcoming her to our new cocktail bar performance space.
"All you need is one performer and an audience. Of course there can be more, there can be dancing girls, costumes, spangles, lights, orchestras, moving fountains, camels even, but all it actually NEEDS is one performer and an audience. You don’t need a stage, a light, or even a mic."
This is the third year of the London Festival of Cabaret - a celebration of wonderful composers, brilliant lyricists, exquisite venues and unique artists. It explores the art of cabaret, presenting artists who tell stories through songs whilst revealing something of themselves in the process.
