In 1921, the perfect vampire film was created by F. W. Murnau, based on Dracula but without permission from the Bram Stoker Estate. A court ordered the destruction of the plagiarised film, which was almost completely lost to the world, but for one saved copy. It rose again to become the blueprint for future vampire films and still thrills and inspires 100 years on.

Composer/pianist, Dmytro Morykit, returns to Wilton’s after being silenced by a modern ‘plague’, to perform his seminal piano concert once more. Nosferatu creates many strange synergies: the ship which ran aground at Whitby and inspired Stoker was called the Dmitry and Dmytro has an early connection with the Goth band Bauhaus.

Morykit's incredible live performance alongside the film creates a haunting evening of image and sound, ending on an uplifting finale. He brings new audiences to both music and film. The vital ingredient is the live performance of his piano suite, Land of Spectres.

The show has toured extensively across Europe.

Running time: 1hrs 40mins plus a 20 minute interval
