Composer and pianist, Dmytro Morykit, returns to Wilton’s to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his first performance of Metropolis in this historic venue where he received a full-house standing ovation. Morykit’s incredible piano concert complements Fritz Lang’s iconic film, which is continually voted amongst the top ten films of all time. Set in a futuristic urban dystopia, the son of the city's mastermind dares to fall in love with a working-class prophet who predicts the coming of a saviour. The live score brings the film to a modern audience within the magic of Wilton’s unrivalled atmosphere, Morykit says “it’s like playing a piano inside a cello”. This is a unique event not to be missed; a creative and performing tour-de-force.

Morykit has toured this and other film concerts (Nosferatu & Der müde Tod) extensively since 2013.

'The music is gorgeous and Dmytro shines visually as well as acoustically.' Kevin Godley

'Another great show. It is truly Spectacular.' The Byre Theatre, St Andrews

'Morykit’s score may be modern, yet it has a timeless quality…it could so easily be enjoyed as a live performance in its own right, but combined with Lang’s classic, groundbreaking visuals, it makes for wonderful entertainment.' Culture Northern Ireland

'Unfazed by its (Metropolis) daunting presence Morykit composed his own unique concept in 2014, the Royal Albert Hall was always in safe hands. His repertoire is impressive – he was about to play through the entirety of Fritz Lang’s classic with minimal cues or signals, from memory. As a first-time witness to his work, I knew this ‘one-man show’ was going to be exciting and a special night for everyone.' Set the Tape
