Bear: A Work In Progress follows Phoebe, a second year university student, whose father has just jumped off the roof of Aldi in Watford, accidentally dressed like Paddington Bear.
It is a play about growing up fast, in the wake of a catastrophic event in which a young person’s life is thrown into turmoil. It is a piece of comedy gig-theatre with an electric soundtrack that pulsates through the narrative in the form of a live band, who aid Phoebe in her journey of accepting and rewriting what she knows of her father after the catastrophe.
We are very excited to be staging an `In-Concert’ version of Bear for the first time at Wilton’s Music Hall as part of their Creative Residency Programme. We would like to thank everyone who has donated to our crowdfunder, and who have supported Bear in any capacity thus far!
