“an amazing show . . . a fantastic evening” BBC

In this hilarious musical revue, Nicola transports us to Britain in the 1940s and 50s with her recreation of national treasure, Joyce Grenfell. The evening features the best of Joyce’s comedy songs and monologues from ‘Stately as a Galleon’ to ‘School Nativity Play’. Add to the mix comic numbers by Flanders & Swann and Noël Coward, and you have all the ingredients for a delicious encounter with one of Britain’s best-loved comediennes.
Nicola Keen’s many West End appearances include Guys and Dolls with Ewan McGregor and Oklahoma! with Hugh Jackman (National Theatre). Work as choreographer includes: Fallen Angels (Menier Chocolate Factory); Inside No 9 Stage/Fright (Garrick, Olivier Nomination Best Entertainment); Inside No 9 (BBC 2, BAFTA Award Best Comedy); Eric and Little Ern (Vaudeville, Olivier Nomination Best Entertainment).
Malcolm McKee is well known to Radio 4 audiences as Graham Ryder in The Archers. As composer, scores include: The Rivals, Brief Encounter, The Pickwick Papers (BBC Radio 4); The Shakespeare Revue (RSC, Off-Broadway); The Mistake (Off-Broadway, Tokyo); The Madness of George III (Apollo); Travels with My Aunt (Chocolate Factory); When We Are Married (Garrick, Olivier Nomination Best Revival).
