★★★★★ ‘This is political theatre that is true, and hilarious and horrifying’ – The Independent

Rebecca Biscuit and Louise Mothersole (Sh!t Theatre) were invited to the European Capital of Culture, Valetta, in 2018. They thought they would have a holiday, interview some expats and get drunk.

They found a lot more than they expected – mystery and murder in the fight to be European. Join Becca and Louise in this rollicking and riotous exploration of immigration and home which could not be more topical today.

  • This is political theatre that is true, and hilarious, and horrifying.

    The Independent ★★★★★
  • This is political theatre at its most raucous – funny, furious, daft and anarchic – but with an underlying power.

    The Stage ★★★★★
  • It makes for a brilliant, upsetting and politically angry performance that, in its playful anarchy, highlights the true absurdity of our times.

    Ed Fest Magazine ★★★★★
  • It’s pretty damn phenomenal.

    Miro Magazine ★★★★★
  • What a triumph this is

    ThreeWeeks ★★★★★
  • accomplished with style and tons and tons of cheeky energy

    Global Media Post ★★★★★
  • They have brought us a sizzlingly brilliant piece of what-the-fringe-is-all-about theatre. It is a must-see. It will be shining out as arguably the top show of 2020.

    The Barefoot Review ★★★★★
  • UK duo Sh!t Theatre delivers a poignant one-two punch of comedy and social commentary at the most brilliantly staged and powerful level.

    The Advertiser ★★★★
  • This is experimental theatre at its best – serious, silly, compelling and brilliantly staged.

    InDaily ★★★★
  • There are shows galore about identity and Britishness. A fair few about what it means these days to be European too. Nothing, however, is quite like this rollicking piece of political theatre, comedy, audience-rousing singalong and what-we-did-on-our-holidays reportage from the performance art duo Sh!t Theatre.

    The Times ★★★★
  • A sharp comedy that flips between cat videos and car bombs

    The Telegraph ★★★★
  • Delightful, riotous mess

    The Standard ★★★★
  • …Drink Rum with Expats’ becomes a vivid, punky tour de force in which Sh!t Theatre’s natural larkiness comes served with shots of pure anger.

    TimeOut ★★★★
  • h!t Theatre presents a performance that perfectly captures the timbre of our times: a deeply accomplished and riotous call-to-action.

    The List ★★★★
  • Even in the midst of grimness, Biscuit and Mothersole can raise a laugh, with a crowdsurfing migration of their own.

    The Scotsman ★★★★
