Gershwin's compositions are nothing short of iconic, capable of conjuring up images of 1930s New York like no others. They have been adapted for use in films and television and many have become jazz standards, performed in clubs and cabarets around he world every night. This is an opportunity to see a dazzling performance of his greatest works in a different context  - the telling of his own story. Performed by the hugely talented pianist Viv McLean and narrated by Susan Porrett, Classic Gershwin is an exhilarating, foot-tapping journey through Gershwin’s life. Follow him through his early years in Brooklyn to Tin Pan Alley, Broadway and finally to his tragically early death.
