Experience an exhilarating musical journey with an innovative opera inspired by musical theatre, created by the brilliant Helen Epega, also known as The Venus Bushfires. Premiering in 2015 at London's The Place Theatre, this show proudly stands as the world's first of its kind, breaking new ground in the world of opera and performance arts.

Helen Epega has ingeniously crafted an unforgettable experience, transporting audiences to a realm where music's transformative power inspires, heals, and unites—a timely message in today’s world.

The revamped show ingeniously blends the rich African storytelling tradition with contemporary dance, incorporating Nigerian Pidgin English, Patois, Creole, Cockney, Hip Hop Vernacular and Multicultural London Slang. These elements fuse seamlessly with Western Classical music, celebrating diversity through a vibrant multicultural lens.

This musical marvel has dazzled audiences in London, Lagos, Turin, Bodrum, and Cape Town. Hailed as 'incredible' by LondonTheatre1, and celebrated as 'fantastic' by Daniel Neale from the BBC, this innovative masterpiece promises an 'eye-opening experience', resonating with Maxim from The Prodigy.

Featuring an exceptional cast including Helen Epega as Composer, Librettist, Lead Vocalist, and Hang Drum maestro, alongside renowned talents Richard Ọlátúndé Baker on African Percussion, Adam Coney on Electric Guitar, Francis Angol as Choreographer and Movement Artist, Ben Collyer on Piano and guided by Executive Producer Baba-Jallah Epega. Get ready for a 95-minute musical extravaganza!
